This single-story wooden house was designed to remain beautiful over the long term, unaffected by fleeting trends or passing fads. Rather than layering decorative elements, the design carefully balances the relationships between the lines, surfaces, and dimensions that compose the architecture, stripping away the unnecessary to create a presence that embodies a quiet yet assured elegance. By unifying the dimensions of the terrace eaves, the carport roof, and the gable walls, the exterior forms a neat and taut silhouette. Inside, a meticulous structural plan minimizes the presence of columns, creating a spacious and open interior. Furthermore, a clear circulation plan that does not rely on hallways, combined with a layout that flows from the large south-facing openings to the terrace, creates a rich living space that gently embraces light, breeze, and the changing seasons. This is a home whose value deepens with the passage of time, continuing to bring quiet richness to the residents’ daily lives.
流行や一時的な新しさに左右されることなく、長い年月を経てもなお美しくあり続けることを目指した平屋の木造住宅である。装飾的な要素を重ねるのではなく、建築を構成する線、面、寸法の関係性を丁寧に整え、不要なものを削ぎ落とすことで、静けさの中に確かな品格を宿した佇まいを実現した。テラスの軒、カーポートの屋根、妻壁の見付け寸法を統一することで、外観には端正で緊張感のあるシルエットを形成。内部は綿密な構造計画により柱の存在を極力感じさせず、伸びやかで開放的な空間を実現している。さらに、廊下に頼らない明快な動線計画と、南面の大開口からテラスへと連続する構成により、光や風、季節の気配を穏やかに取り込む豊かな居住空間を生み出した。時を重ねるほどに価値が深まり、住まい手の日常に静かな豊かさをもたらし続ける住宅である。
