Located in Osaka’s business district, this clinic was designed as a serene, high-quality space reminiscent of a traditional Japanese ryokan. Stepped back from the hustle and bustle outside, the interior is filled with soothing background music and a gentle fragrance, gently enveloping visitors. For busy businesspeople, it serves as a place to unwind, while for international visitors, it offers a refined, quintessentially Japanese spatial experience.
The space features an achromatic palette of white, gray, and black, accented by wood-grain doors and latticework, creating a look that is both simple and warm. Lighting is kept subdued overall, with indirect lighting effectively placed in the entrance and corridors to highlight the beauty of shadows and depth. All four treatment rooms are private, and within this subdued lighting, they provide an experience that deeply restores both body and mind.
While many clinics prioritize functionality and tend to feel sterile, this project aimed to create a space that not only heals the body but also soothes the mind. By incorporating the design and atmosphere of a traditional Japanese inn, it achieves a memorable healing space that transcends the typical treatment setting.
大阪のビジネス街に位置する本クリニックは、日本の高級旅館を想起させる静謐で上質な空間として計画された。外の喧騒から一歩離れた内部には、心地よいBGMと香りが漂い、訪れる人を穏やかに包み込む。多忙なビジネスマンにとっては緊張を解きほぐす場となり、海外からの来訪者にとっても、日本らしい繊細な空間体験を味わえる場所となっている。
空間は、ホワイト、グレー、ブラックを基調とした無彩色の構成に、木目の扉や木格子をアクセントとして加えることで、簡潔でありながら温かみのある表情を生み出している。照明は全体の照度を抑え、エントランスや通路に間接照明を効果的に配することで、陰影の美しさと奥行きを際立たせた。施術室は4室すべて個室とし、さらに抑制された光の中で、心身を深く整える体験を生み出している。
機能性を優先した無機質なクリニックが多い中、本計画では身体を癒すだけでなく、心まで解きほぐす場を目指した。旅館のような意匠と空気感を取り入れることで、治療の場を超えた、印象的な癒しの空間を実現している。
